Women’s Ministry

Women in rural Senegal are responsible for up to 12 people in their compound, which includes extended family. Their responsibilities predominantly include cooking, cleaning, and raising children. 3% of women in Ngonine are literate. Women are learning the Bible in their own language to create spiritual independence, as well as foundational literacy skills.

Our women’s program, in partnership with Febe Ministries (named after the servant in the Bible, Phoebe), provides a 3-prong approach for women’s social, physical, and spiritual circumstances. As it is our newest program, our future vision is to offer bi-weekly literacy and personal needs classes, with programs to incent women to enroll in and successfully complete education.
