Each year our team is privileged to care for a group of boys who are sent by their parents to the tutelage of Koranic teachers called "Maribout." Their purpose is to memorize the Koran in a language they do not understand. They are forced to beg on the streets during the day and take Koranic classes in the evening. Most live in unfinished buildings and spend the early years (age 4-15) as a Talibe Boy. The Maribout allow us to spend a day providing medical care and fun for the boys.
